The winner of the contest from the last issue is Jean Buttram from Jonesboro, Georgia. Congratulations Jean!! Jean will receive a one-year subscription to Southern Festivals. Thanks to all of you who sent in "Where Am I?" entries.
Jean knew this was a photo of the Riverwalk in Augusta, Georgia. Jimmy Hill, Director of Marketing/Sales took this photo during a trip to Augusta.
The Riverwalk project was started in 1994 and today is a great addition to the Augusta downtown area. Riverwalk is a great place for a leisurely stroll in Augusta. It runs along the Savannah River and provides a gorgeous view of the river and of the surrounding area. This issue's contest of "WHERE AM I?" is up for grabs. The contest will test your ability to remember where certain things are located in Georgia. Are you willing to give it a try?
The contest works like this… each issue will have a picture of a landmark, famous location, statue, scene or another related item. Your job, if you decide to accept the assignment, is to answer the question; "Where am I?" and report your answer to Southern Festivals. You will find the question and picture inside this edition.
Southern Festivals will draw one winner from all correct entries. The winner receives a one-year subscription to Southern Festivals newspaper.
The only way to win is to send in your entries now. You must have your entry postmarked no later than December 3, 2007. Please be as specific as you can possibly be in regards to the location.
