“A Chattahoochee Independence Day” Celebration in Franklin, Georgia

FRANKLIN, GA -- The Heard County Chamber of Commerce is proud to be hosting the 6th Annual A Chattahoochee Independence Daycelebration on July 4th, on the downtown Franklin Square. The celebration, which typically draws 10,000-13,000 visitors from around the region, begins at 5:00 p.m. with booths featuring great food, crafts, fun, rides & family entertainment.

Vendors will be offering traditional fare such as hot dogs, hamburgers and corndogs, as well as specialty cuisine including Philly Cheese Steak, grilled veggies, red links, BBQ chicken & pork along with polish sausage.Got a sweet tooth?...There will also be plenty of sweet treats such as sno-cones, cotton candy and homemade ice cream.

Family entertainment on the Square will continue until 8:00 p.m. including gospel & country music entertainers and area dance troops. Other entertainment will include fun rides and games such as a climbing wall, a train ride, basketball and skeet golf, pony rides and a carousel as well as craft vendors.

Join in the fun at 8:30 p.m., as the focus will shift to Torchbearers Park on the Chattahoochee Riverfront, where a patriotic tribute, We Hold These Truths, will be performed honoring local military servicemen and veterans. At 9:30 p.m., be there for the Grand Finale, which will be the BIGGEST FIREWORKS SHOW over the Chattahoochee.
