OCTOBER 9, 7:30 P.M.

STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN & CHRIS TOMLIN

Steven Curtis Chapman

What do you do when you've had 34 number one singles, won every major award, and sold more than five million albums? Steven Curtis Chapman decided to take a year off to spend time with his family and contemplate his next move. The nine-time Gospel Music Association Songwriter of the Year chronicles that life-changing year with his first collection of new songs in three years. The result is 12 new Chapman signature songs, from the energetic title track of renewed faith, "Speechless," to "Fingerprints of God."

Speechless also finds Chapman breaking new ground musically. For the first time he recorded an entire album with his touring band rather than studio musicians.

Chris Tomlin

One of the premier songwriters of today, Chris Tomlin is shaping the language of worship for generations present and future. And yet his gifts are rooted in one central truth: God is the center of everything.

Even as small town Texas boy pounding out new tunes with his ragtag garage band, Tomlin had been blessed with a passion for purpose. He wanted to be more than just another guy with a song. As he grew, he became even more aware of the fact that everything - what we do, who we are - exists only for God's glory. Tomlin's sophomore studio project "Not to Us," is an organic, edgy, pop blend of his most compelling lyrics to date, the longest and most rewarding mile in his passionate pursuit of real life.

OCTOBER 15, 8:00 P.M.

THE CHARLIE DANIELS BAND & BUDDY JEWELL

The Charlie Daniels Band

It hasn't been so much a style of music, but more the values consistently reflected in several styles that has connected Charlie Daniels with millions of fans. For decades, he has steadfastly refused to label his music as anything other than "CDB music." Music that is now sung around the fire at 4-H clubs and scout camps, helped elect an American president, and been popularized on a variety of radio formats.

Epic Records signed Daniels to its rock roster in New York in 1976. The contract, reportedly worth $3 million, was the largest ever given to a Nashville act up to that time. In the summer of 1979, Daniels delivered "The Devil Went Down to Georgia;" a platinum single topping both country and pop charts. This song won a Grammy, earned three Country Music Association trophies, and propelled Daniels' "Million Mile Reflections" album to triple platinum.

In April 1998, top stars and two former presidents paid tribute to Daniels when he was named the recipient of the Pioneer Award at the Academy of Country Music's televised ceremonies.

Buddy Jewel

Nashville Star winner Buddy Jewell is proving America right. Jewell's debut single, "Help Pour Out the Rain (Lacey's Song)," is the highest charting debut by a new artist in over a decade.

It is not surprising to those who saw Jewell's many captivating performances on the popular weekly TV series "Nashville Star." The singer is experiencing many successes on radio. Jewel received over two million votes to become America's first "Nashville Star."

After singing demos for other artists such as George Strait and Lee Ann Womack, this natural born performer finally has a chance to record songs for his own album. Jewell's debut CD will be produced by country superstar, Clint Black.

OCTOBER 16, 7:30 P.M.

LONESTAR & JIMMY WAYNE

Lonestar

The members of Lonestar have no idea how many awards they have been given. At some point along the way, they lost count. Lonestar feels fortunate and blessed to have received many accolades, but they are more passionate about making music than they are about being recognized for it.

There is one triple platinum album ("Lonely Grill"), two platinum ("I'm Already There" and Greatest Hits - From There to Here"), and two golds ("Crazy Nights" and "Lonestar"); plus nine number one singles. There are five awards from the Academy of Country Music, two Country Music Association awards, two Billboard Music awards, and six Grammy nominations.

Lonestar was given the award for Top New Vocal Group by the Academy of Country Music in 1996.

Jimmy Wayne

No one has more of a right to sing country music than Jimmy Wayne. Country, they say, comes from real life. Wayne has weathered emotional abuse and real violence. He has worked (as a child) to earn money while his mother was in prison. He has lived in the open and subsisted on his wits in order to eat from day to day. None of this stopped him, and today, he looks toward a future full of hope. He has sung on the Grand Ole Opry, opened for Charlie Daniels, and delivered a debut album, "Jimmy Wayne," that's sure to inspire all who believe in the power of song.
