GAY, GA -- Want to smell the fresh aroma of country air? Then be at the Great Gay Georgia Marketplace on October 2 & 3. This Festival is a unique gathering for those who love antiques, fine crafts and other festivities. Hosting over 30,000 people the first weekend in October, this festival features arts, crafts and antiques by exhibitors from all over the Southeast. The festival gates open at 8:00 a.m. for the early bird shoppers both days. Admission to the fair is $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for children ages 4-12, with children under 3 admitted free. Enjoy good country cookin’ and ongoing entertainment as you stroll through the fair grounds, pausing to let the kids visit the Children’s area.
Great Gay Georgia Market- place is located on the scenic byway in Meriweather County at the inter-section of Highway 85/Spur 109. From Atlanta, take I-85 south to Exit #61 (Hwy. 74), then turn left. Stay on Highway 74 to Georgia State Road 85 and turn right, traveling 17 miles to Gay. The Festival is approximately 45 minutes south of Atlanta and 45 minutes north of Columbus.
