Taste of a Chattahoochee Christmas

FRANKLIN, GA -- Don't miss the 11th Annual "Taste of a Chattahoochee Christmas" on Friday, December 7th, beginning at 5:00 p.m. and running until. The Heard County Chamber of Commerce will host this annual event on the square, in downtown Franklin. There is always plenty to do at "Taste" besides filling stomachs and buying last minute holiday gifts. Santa and Ms. Claus will be on hand to hear the children's wishlists and have pictures made. Local entertainment will include school bands, dance troops and caroling.

Admission to the Festival is free, but purchase $.50 tickets at the Main Booth for a "Tasting" of the spectacular food to include grilled shrimp, seafood chowder, smoked sausage, beef kabobs and much more. Over 30 "Taste" booths are scheduled. Each "Taste" will be paid for with tickets.

Approximately 25 Arts and Craft booths will be open, which will consist of locally made seasonal decorative items such as painted gourds, fruit baskets, hand-sewn dolls, woodwork items, and holiday ornaments, just to name a few. Purchase these items directly from the Arts & Craft Vendors. Wagon rides will carry visitors through the historic district of Franklin to see the wonderfully decorated homes, while the Heard Historical Museum will be open for tours.
