Million Pines Festival

SOPERTON, GA -- Beginn-ing in 1972 as a project to help local civic clubs and community needs, the Million Pines Arts and Crafts Festival has grown to be South Georgia's largest and finest festival of Arts & Crafts. As you browse under the shady pines, you'll find crafts of today as well as crafts of days gone by.

The festival's 200 plus booths have been carefully selected to appeal to visitors looking for quality goods at affordable prices. On display will be woodwork, wood carvings, pottery, leather, paintings, ceramics, toys, quilts, sand art, Christmas decorations and much more. Many exhibitors will be demon-strating their crafts on the spot, such as pottery, leather crafts, candle making, chainsaw carving, egg shell carvings, cane grinding, plastic carvings and more.

Of course the food is always delightful. Choose from hotdogs, hamburgers, barbeque, boiled peanuts and much more located throughout the park.

The entertainment sche-dule has a variety of well-known and very talented groups of individuals. Pat your feet and forget all about the "rat race", so many are caught up in. On Sunday the entertainment will be The Lewis Family.

This event is scheduled for November 3 & 4 in Iva/Nita Park located on Georgia Highway 29. Hours will be 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission is $4.00 per person, children 5 and under admitted free. Parking and shuttle buses to the festival, are provided free of charge. Sorry, but NO pets are allowed.
