EASTMAN, GA -- This year Eastman, located at the intersection of Highway 341 (Golden Isles Parkway) and Highway 23, is going all out for family entertainment with the new "A Night in Candyland Festival". On December 13th, there will be something for every age group. There will be Arts & Crafts Vendors, Antiques, Unique Gift Shops and Jewelry Stores open along with delicious food of all kinds and candy of course. The festival will begin at 5:00 p.m. An electric light parade will start at 6:00 p.m. and following the parade there will be a life size game of Candyland for the young ones. For children of all ages, there will be a cupcake walk, a petting zoo, pony & cart rides, the Jurassic Adventure Inflatable, and the Adrenline Rush 360 Degree Obstacle Course. There will be an Art Show and Sale, a working Model Train demonstration, and various other exhibits. For the Adults there will be a Scavenger Hunt that will win some lucky person a Holland Grill. Also, a Beautiful Quilt will be raffled. A gingerbread baking contest, homemade candy contest and a Christmas cookie contest will be held. Winning recipes will be available for those who would like to make the delicious treats themselves. Christmas Trees will be available to purchase including trees that are professionally decorated. Take a carriage ride and enjoy the Carolers from the Caroling Company who will be strolling the streets, filling the air with the sounds of Christmas. At the Magnolia Theater there will be a Magic Show with the Amazing Troy Edenfield starting at 7:30 p.m. At 8:30 p.m. the Children of the Dance Factory will be performing their Winter Dance, and at 9:30 p.m. there will be a Musical Variety Show.
