FRANKLIN, GA -- The Heard County
Chamber of Commerce is proud to sponsor
The Chattahoochee Independence Day
Celebration on Saturday, July 5th. The
celebration will begin at 4 p. m. with booths
featuring good food, good fun, great rides
and games for all ages. There will also be
a flag retirement ceremony at the
Recreation Department at 1:00 p.m. If you
have a flag in need of retiring please drop it
off at the Chamber office.
Entertainment will begin at 4:30 p.m. on
the square, which will include local acts, a
Watermelon Eating Contest and ‘Xcessive
Sounds’ will also be there. At 9:30 p.m.
there will be the biggest fireworks show
over the Chattahoochee in downtown
Franklin, Georgia.
This event is free admission and there is
no parking charge. Times listed above are
