The Cotton Pickin' Fair

GAY, GA -- The 66th edition of The Cotton Pickin' Fair is sponsored by The 1911 Society, Ltd., a Georgia Non-Profit Corporation supporting Sustain-able Rural Development through AgriTourism and Callaway Blue™ Pure Spring Water. Join in for a great day of 21st century fun in a unique 1910 era farm venue where 300 skilled artisans from the United States and Canada feature Art, Antiques, and Crafts.

Fine pottery, weaving, sculpture, woodcarving, painting, jewelry, and wearable art are samples of what to expect from this outstanding group of exhibitors. Many artists eagerly share their creative skills and talents with on-going demonstrations.

Cotton Pickin' Fair Exhibitor, Kenny Hunt of Dacula, Georgia is dedicated to advancing the fine art of woodworking. At The Fair, Kenny turns exquisite table legs on his lathe for tables and sideboards made from reclaimed lumber. A civil engineer, and father to twelve children, Kenny has fulfilled his passion for wood working by turning a hobby into an industry. Several of the adult children are now part of this growing business.

The Cotton Pickin’ Fair will have dancers, musicians, and puppets to delight young and old from six rustic stages.

Music at The Cotton Pickin' Fair covers everything from blue grass to classical while churches, schools, civic organizations bake, fry, broil, boil, steam, and stew the tastiest Southern Foods around. So, arrive hungry and support the programs of more than twenty non-profit, civic minded partner organizations at The Cotton Pickin' Fair.

Fun-filled days await you at The Cotton Pickin' Fair. Open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday, May 5 & 6, 2007 and admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children, ages 4 to 12.
